Retiring CHH Staff Member Awarded Lifetime Achievement Award in Human Services

 Alan Marinaccio, a long time staff member at The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) in Torrington was recently recognized by peers for his outstanding career in the human services field. Alan is the former Administrative Director for the hospital’s Behavioral Health Services Department. He was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Connecticut Community Providers Association (CCPA) at a special luncheon attended by his wife and coworkers on December 11th.

The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Cancer Program Recognized By Commission on Cancer

The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’s (CHH) cancer program which includes the hospital’s inpatient, surgical and laboratory services and The Center For Cancer Care’s outpatient treatment services was recently recognized by the national Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons and granted a three-year approval with Commendation. Such approval is given to programs that demonstrate commitment to providing the highest level of quality cancer care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance.
