Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’s Behavioral Health Center (BHC) provides comprehensive behavioral health services to nearly 2,500 patients annually, providing individual therapy, group therapy, and medication management for adults to best support your wellness and individual stage of recovery. The center is fully staffed with licensed clinicians, psychiatrists, psychiatric APRNs, case managers, and more.
You and your treatment team work collaboratively to develop an individualized treatment plan to best meet your needs. Treatment can include:
- Medication management services
- Individual, couples, and family therapy
- Group therapy, including groups on: relapse prevention, anxiety and depression Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), young adult, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and many more topic specific groups
Our goal is to address psychiatric, behavioral, emotional and substance use symptoms including:
- Assist in developing successful coping and stress management skills.
- Provide medication evaluation and management if indicated.
- Refer and support patients if higher levels of care and/or if additional clinical services are needed.
- Connect patients with local resources to create a supportive network for recovery and wellness.
