Dr. Dorfman was a very good listener, I just wish he had more of a neuropsychiatric insight of Tourette’s Syndrome and the emotional/mental impact of such, vs a purely biological neurological knowledge lenses of it.

I’ve been on a “find out exactly what is wrong with me” journey for the past few years and Dr. Dorfman is the only neurologist I’ve seen so far that seems to want to find the answers just as badly as I do. The others only dismissed my symptoms as phantom, and always made me feel like I’m a liar and that it’s all in my head from the very beginning three years ago. He wasn’t dismissive, listened to my story and all of my concerns with patience and genuine empathy. He explained things thoroughly and clearly so that I could understand. He developed a plan of action for me and that alone validated that there are still good doctors out there. I’m extremely grateful, especially because a lot of my symptoms do not fall in his realm of specialty. For him to actually take the time and take me on is extremely kind. His office is quick to return phone calls, schedule follow ups and send referrals. When I encountered an issue with my original sleep study referral, he booked another right away. Their receptionists take what you have to say seriously and will work with your schedule. I can’t say enough good things, and I’m so happy I was able to get an appointment with him.
