Deadline for CHH Auxiliary’s 2020 Healthcare Scholarship is March 1

The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Auxiliary is offering 10, $1,000 scholarships to local students pursuing an education in a healthcare field. Two additional scholarships, the Dr. Alfred Fabro Award and the Dr. Joseph Curi Award, will also be presented at $1,000 each.

Applicants must reside in a community served by Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and must be planning to matriculate at a college or institution of higher education for a healthcare degree.

Applications and instructions for completing the application may be obtained by e-mailing chhscholarship@gmail.org. Area colleges and high schools also have applications available online through their guidance departments.

All completed applications and attachments must be printed out and sent by mail, postmarked no later than March 1, 2020, to the attention of Ellen Durstin at 102 Tanglewood Road, New Hartford, CT 06057.

A letter will be sent to all applicants by the first week of May 2020 notifying them of their status. Recipients of the scholarships are expected to be present at the award ceremony scheduled for May 5, 2020.

The CHH Auxiliary has over 200 volunteer members who assist in raising money for CHH and the community through dues, donations, the Charlotte Hungerford Gift Shop, and assisting with a variety of events, including an annual fashion show and Artist of the Month sales.
