CHH Auxiliary Offers Healthcare Scholarships For 2022

The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Auxiliary is offering 10, $1,000 scholarships to local students pursuing an education in a healthcare field. Three additional $1,000 awards, the Dr. Alfred Fabro Scholarship, the Dr. Joseph Curi Scholarship and for students/graduates from Torrington High School and/or Oliver Wolcott High School, the Dr. Beth Whalen and Dr. Terrance Ryan Scholarship will also be presented.

Applicants must be planning to matriculate at a college or institution of higher education for a healthcare degree when applying for a scholarship; acceptance into a certified health care educational program for the 2022-23 academic year must be verified prior to the scholarship award.  Applicants must reside in a community served by Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Applications and instructions for completing the application may be obtained by e-mailing chhscholarship@gmail.org. Area colleges and high schools also have applications available online through their Guidance Departments.

All completed applications must be printed out and sent by mail, postmarked no later than Feb. 28, 2022. Send finalized applications to the attention of Ellen Durstin, 102 Tanglewood Road, New Hartford, CT 06057.  A letter will be sent to all applicants by the first week of May notifying them of their status.
